Joey Logano / No. 20 GameStop Toyota Preview
#20 GameStop Toyota News, Notes & Paint Scheme:
· Joey Logano and the #20 GameStop team finished second in the Aaron’s 312 at Talladega Superspeedway. After starting the race 15th, Logano made it to the front of the field and took the lead on lap 41, avoiding several multi-car accidents as the day unfolded. A mid-race pit penalty dropped Logano back to 31st, but it took him only five laps to make it back up to the top-five. Logano restarted the race in 10th during the final green-white-checker and was able to carve his way to second in the final lap and a half before another multi-car accident froze the field and locked Logano into his second-place finishing position.
· Disney Interactive Studios will have their upcoming game, Split/Second, on the car at Richmond. Split/Second is an action racing game putting the player as a contestant on a reality TV show with a massive city set rigged for destruction. Players trigger explosive events that alter the track and take out opponents. Split/Second is set to release in May 18, 2010 on both the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 gaming systems.
· Logano got a sneak peak of Split/Second recently when representatives from Disney Interactive Studios showed Logano an early build of the Split/Second game during Logano’s visit to the GameStop corporate headquarters in Grapevine, Texas on April 15. Logano loved the game and was winning races before the afternoon was over.
· Several representatives from Disney Interactive Studios will be on hand at Richmond International Raceway to take in the Bubba Burger 250. The representatives will be available for any media opportunities.
· GameStop will once again be the primary sponsor of the #20 for the Bubba Burger 250 at Richmond. Store 6349, located in, Cookeville, TN, will be the featured store on the lower rear quarter panel. In addition, the GameStop show car will make stops in Mechanicsville, Colonial Heights and Chester, VA.
· Logano two starts in the NASCAR Nationwide Series at Richmond International Raceway. In 2008, Logano won the pole in his first trip to the .75-mile oval, lead seven laps and finished seventh at the checkered flag. Last season, Logano started fourth and finished sixth. Both times, Logano has finished on the lead lap. Logano has also made two starts in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series at Richmond.
· The #20 Joe Gibbs Racing team will run chassis #2095 (back up chassis #2067) at Talladega. It is the same chassis that Logano ran earlier this year in Phoenix, where he finished 10th after leading late in the race.
· Despite running only seven of the eight Nationwide Series events thus far in 2010, Logano sits seventh in the point standings on the strength of three top-fives, six top-10s and three poles. The #20 Joe Gibbs Racing team moved up one spot after Texas and now sits third in the owner’s point standings, just 71 markers out of the top-spot.

Joey Logano Quotes:
“I’m pretty excited for Richmond because it is just a great short track. It is the type of racing that most of us drivers have grown up around; short track beating and banging under the lights. Bristol and Martinsville are great tracks, but Richmond puts on some of the best racing that we do, especially on the short tracks and maybe even of all of the tracks that we go to. In the end, that is what we all really want to do – just race hard and have a lot of fun.
“Richmond is a track that I’ve been pretty good at, but I am just missing that little bit to get the GameStop car to Victory Lane. I’ve got a pole there and I’ve lead laps, but I really want that win. The track can sometimes be a little hard to get a handle on. We’ve been gaining momentum this year and my relationship with Kevin (Kidd) just keeps getting better and better. So I think we are going to go there and be strong; really strong. We are going to try to lay it down on them.
“We’ll have the game Split/Second on our car at Richmond, which is a really cool and intense arcade racing game and a great fit for our car at the Richmond event, because of the close beating and banging we do at the track. I love playing racing games, but when I played Split/Second I realized it was so much more. You have to use real racing skills like drafting, just like you do on the track most weekends, but then you also have to think about planning a strategy to wreck the other cars and the courses so you can win. It was sick. It is the perfect game to play when you’ve had a stressful day at the track or maybe at work. It can let you blow off some steam and have some fun with your buddies. I can’t wait to see what the GameStop car looks like when it rolls out of the trailer at Richmond.”
Kevin Kidd Quotes:
“I’m really excited to go to Richmond, especially when you look at the performance that we had at Phoenix just a few weeks ago. We are taking the same car there that we should have won the race with. It will be a nice change of pace coming out of Talladega, where you work so hard to keep everything perfect, to Richmond, where you beat and bang all night. Everyone loves short track racing and racing under the lights. It’s a fun race for all of us and one that we look forward to every weekend. There are a lot of guys that are always strong in Richmond, but I think our GameStop car will be one of the cars to beat when it comes time to drop the green.”
