No. 20 GameStop Toyota
California Race Preview

Huntersville, N.C. – Coming off of his fourth NASCAR Nationwide Series win in 2009, Joey Logano has plenty of confidence heading into this weekend’s race at the Auto Club Speedway (ACS).  And he should be confident.  ACS is just a half-mile bigger than the 1.5-mile tracks he has dominated during the season.  The cars and setups you take to each type of venue are very similar.  Not to mention that Logano finished third in the “spring” race at ACS in February.  He had a very fast GameStop Toyota at the end of that event and could have possibly challenged for the win if given a few more laps.

While things might be bigger in Texas, they are definitely brighter in southern California.  It is not an unusual sight to several stars of sound and screen walking through the garage area at ACS.  With four Nationwide Series wins and one Sprint Cup Series win on his young resume, Logano himself is a star on the rise in the world of NASCAR.

Joey Logano Quotes

“What an awesome feeling it was to get a win last weekend at Kansas.  What makes it even better is knowing that I’ll be back in the car again this week at California.  We had a great run in the GameStop Toyota back in the spring race at California.  If there would have been a few more laps left I think we could have made our way to the bumper of Kyle (Busch) and raced him for the win.  I knew right then that our downforce package was going to be strong all season.  These cars have been fast all year and I expect we will have another good racecar this weekend.”

“It’s hard to believe that the season is almost over.  I’ve had a lot on my plate this year with the full-time Cup stuff, but it has been a blast.  One of my goals is to get a couple more wins in the GameStop Toyota before the end of the year.  The Nationwide program at Joe Gibbs Racing is the best in the business and we want to continue to keep the GameStop Toyota at the front of the pack.  A couple of more wins will give us momentum and something to build on in the off-season to make sure we are not slipping back into the hands of the competition.”
