Richard Petty & "The King's Cup" Charity Go-Kart Event Raises Over $120,000 for Paralyzed Veterans

With the Coke 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway looming, and NASCAR activities in and around the Charlotte-area ramping up, Richard Petty kicked things off on Tuesday night by hosting the second-annual “King’s Cup - Karting for a Cause” presented by Harris Teeter at Victory Lane Karting in Charlotte, NC.

(October 7, 2009) – The fall season is an ideal time to hit the open road on your favorite two-wheeled companion.  The air is cool, the leaves are changing and it provides soothing relief from the stress of work.  This is an enjoyable experience alone, but if you throw in a group of your friends and you can raise money for a great cause, you then have something special.

Kurt Busch Foundation Takes Inaugural King’s Cup

Mooresville, N.C. (May 19, 2009) – The inaugural King’s Cup Karting for a Cause provided a great way to kickoff the racing action in the Charlotte area.  In the end the Kurt Busch Foundation team held off the Denny Hamlin Foundation team by 18 seconds in an event that lasted three hours and 40 minutes.
